Cameron Hardin joined WLFI in June of 2015 as our weekend meteorologist and MPJ. Cameron was born and raised just south of Indianapolis in Greenwood, Indiana.
Ever since a young age Cameron has been fascinated by weather. He was always hoping for thunderstorms and even spending a few weeks in the summer chasing them.
Being close to IU didn’t make his college decision tough though. He knew from a young age that he wanted to be a Boilermaker. While attending Purdue, Cameron continued pursuing his passion for weather. Even serving as the chief meteorologist for their student run news program, PETE TV. He also completed an internship at WISH TV in Indianapolis which was when he realized broadcast was his true passion.
Cameron loves meeting new people and hearing their stories. He is excited to have the opportunity to stay in the Lafayette area, which he has grown to love during his time at Purdue. When not staring up at the clouds, Cameron loves everything sports. He’s been a lifelong Colts, Pacers, Cubs, and Boilermaker fan and you will more than likely see him in Mackey or Ross-Ade whenever there is a home game.
